Basketball, Culture, and Community: A Recap of the Nike N7 x Jr. NBA/WNBA Clinic

San Francisco, CA - On February 16, 2025, during the NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco, the Lindy Waters III Foundation proudly sponsored the Nike N7 x Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Youth Basketball Clinic at the Moscone Center. This special event aimed to empower Indigenous youth through the sport of basketball, fostering community engagement and promoting physical activity.

The clinic welcomed Indigenous youth from various communities, providing them with an opportunity to learn basketball fundamentals, enhance their skills, and connect with peers who share their heritage. Participants engaged in drills and activities led by experienced coaches and mentors, emphasizing teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. The event also celebrated Native American heritage in sports, highlighting the importance of cultural pride and representation.

The success of this clinic would not have been possible without the collaboration of our amazing partners. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Nike N7, the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA, and the Intertribal Friendship House for their unwavering support and commitment to empowering Indigenous youth. Their contributions ensured that participants had an unforgettable experience that will positively impact their lives.

The Lindy Waters III Foundation remains committed to its mission of uplifting Indigenous youth through initiatives that promote health, education, and cultural awareness. We look forward to organizing more events like this clinic in the future, continuing to make a difference in the lives of young individuals across the nation.
